I'm not one to complain but....

I'm a huge fan of the television programme "Judge Judy". There, I've said it and I don't care who knows. But, recently on the show, there has been an increase in the number of people saying "aks" instead of "ask"and this really is irritating me.

It shouldn't.

Languages change and, I have it on good authority, that this isn't just American slang, but has been used in the south western counties of England for centuries.

It still hurts my ears, though.

Even worse than this is the use of the word "sikth" instead of "sixth" on the BBC of all places.

And when the word "footballer" is replaced with "footbler" it really makes my blood boil.
